If the computer prompts you to install a driver, let it try. Sometimes your USB device, which is plug-and-play nature really need a set of codes, in this case known as a driver, to interact with your device. So plug out the device, reboot the computer and plug it back in to see if anything changes. RestartĪs Moss and Roy famously put it in The IT Crowd TV show, a simple restart can do wonders for you. Follow the below-mentioned methods to see if your computer gains senses and stars detecting your device. Thankfully it isn’t difficult to make your device detect your USB device. This issue has existed on Windows since the days of Windows 98, and sadly, Windows 10 also seems to have inherited the quirk. There may come a time when your Windows 10-powered machine will just not recognise a USB device. I meant "BlacX 5G Duet D ocking Station not recognized (Set Address Failed))". > Feel free to correct my spelling on the Post Title. You can email our USA Support team - directly for support or contact by phone 800.988.1088 Doesn't make sense since I would suspect they both should not work.Īlso, for the support link, can you please link me to support page you are referning to with the broken link and we can make sure to get any issues resolved. Brought back to the Windows 8 PC, wouldn't work, yet the other does. > I have a windows 7 PC here that I tried the dock on that I can't get working, alone, by itself, not both of them. Second replacement drive will not come up in Disk Management or as a USB device. Brought online while the first was up and continued working. Ordered a replacement which I refer to as he second drive now. Couldn't get it to work, unboxed the second one, shut the first one off and the second came up which is now the one I refer to as the working drive. had an issue with the very first one I tried. This could be related to an IRQ conflict or other issue with multiple docking stations installed at one time. > Turned off the Second one and turned the first one back on. > Turned oth off, tuned on the second one which I could not get connected. I checked the Thermaltake support page, it's Sunday and the phone support is only available M thru F which dosn't help me, the Chat option says its coming in the future, ugggh, and the email support page is a bad link! The replacement came in, I plugged it in (keep in mind I have a working dock right now already attached to the system), Device Manager eventually show the device as "Unknown USB Device (Set Address Failed)". Tried the second one and it worked great! Looked like a DOA of the first dock so I returnede it and ordered another. Could not get the first one I tried to recognize for anything. Running Windows 8.1, I purchased 2 BlackX 5g Duet docking stations.
